June 22 2006, The U.S. Senate was having a debate about The War on Iraq Resolutions and what

the approach should be. The democratic proposals had to be decided between two Senators and

there Amendments. Senator Carl Levin and Senator John Kerry, both had there Democratic Proposal

at hand to debate on the floor if we should use a fast "Arbitrary Deadline" or a "phased withdrawal."

Barack Obama apposed The War on Iraq

The democratic party acknowledges a unification under the fact we should withdrawal our troops in a way that it leaves a security problem for Iraqis and the Iraqi government.

I,m sure you are aware of the fact, back in October 2002 when Mr Obama was still preparing to

run for U.S. Senate. He prepared a speech, he said "Saddam Hussein was a ruthless man but he

caused no emanate and direct threat." Barack said that "a war on Iraq would take our focus away from defeating

He also said "with the volatile mix of ethnic groups and complicated history. The invasion occupation of Iraq

would require an Occupation of undetermined length, at a undetermined cost with undetermined consequences."

In short he felt that the decision unfolding then to invade Iraq

was being made with out a clear rational based on ideology and politics and not fact and reason.

Now it is with no great pleasure to Barack Obama to recall this event at any moment and to many

young men and women have been killed wounded, to many hearts have been broken. Mr Obama

said "he wish he had been wrong about this war and that his concerns has been unfounded. The

question that all of us have been struggling with is what to do about it now."
